WE ARE FAMILY
Join us and you’ll feel it immediately! One of the greatest strengths of St. Thomas the Apostle School is the sense of community, spanning generations of our school families. We are all joined in spirit through almost 150 years of journeying, one family united in Christ. Together we have come such a long way. Together, we have grown. Together, we continue a rich tradition of authentic Catholic education and preparing young people to live generous lives with a love for God and service to their communities.
WE STRIVE FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
Our goal is to shape and mold young people to become intelligent and strong Christian leaders. We provide the challenging academic curriculum and vibrant, nurturing environment that makes that possible. It is a foundation of academic excellence second to none. Our students are immersed in a Christ-centered, challenging and comprehensive academic curriculum in an educational environment where they can truly develop their God-given talents.
WE LIVE OUR CATHOLIC FAITH
We deliver an authentic Catholic education and live our Catholic faith every day, in and out of the classroom. Our Catholic faith shapes who we are and defines how we serve each other and the greater community. We begin with religion classes, weekly all-school Mass, weekly grade-level Masses, all-school daily prayer and Eucharistic Adoration opportunities. We continue with the “Catechesis of the Good Shepherd” program, the “Education in Virtue, Disciples of Christ” program, and various Christian service projects for our students and their families.
WE SERVE EACH OTHER AND OUR COMMUNITY
As our Mission proclaims, we are preparing students “to live generous lives with a love for God and service to their communities.” This is far more than just an invitation to love and serve. It’s taught as a response and responsibility that all of us must embrace as children of God. Through Christian service projects, extracurricular activities, clubs, parish activities and other opportunities to reach into the community, our students are expected to be involved in service. Most importantly, through these experiences, students come to enjoy being engaged in service to others because of the satisfaction and gratification it brings. They come to understand the truth – in the words of St. Francis of Assisi – “For It is in giving that we receive”. They are on the right path to becoming life-long good stewards of the many gifts God gives them.
