Vocal Music & Choir

19 November, 2019

How are we half-way through November already? We have been hard at work working on beginning concepts of steady beat and singing in tune in lower grades, continuing to develop our music literacy and musicianship skills in upper grades, and the 6th, 7th, and 8th Graders have already performed! We are all now officially in Christmas Concert Preparation Mode. Read on!!

Our Upper School Choir sang beautifully on Sunday, November 17th at 11:00am Mass. They offered several pieces on their own and combined with the Adult Parish Choir to sing an exuberant post-communion anthem, as well. Our student cantors are to be commended for their beautiful singing and courage to sing in front of the whole church, as well! Bravo!

All grades are now working hard in every choir class to learn and prepare our music for our upcoming Christmas Concert, which is Thursday, December 12th. Our concert begins at 6:30pm, but students will need to arrive earlier for a pre-concert warm-up and rehearsal – more details will be forthcoming. Please use the links and resources on this page to help your child practice their music at home. There are many songs and lots of words, and we need your help to get them all memorized!
