Our upper school policy on late grades and absent work:
When students are absent, they are to get work from their teachers during recess or homeroom (before dismissal). If the assignment is not turned in within 7 days, it is considered late.
No late assignments are accepted.
Week of Jan. 18
5/6th Grade Religion
This week we will be learning new scripture verses, reviewing the story of creation, reflecting on the awesomeness of God, and learning about the roles of Adam.
5th Grade Math: This week we will be learning about Dividing by Multiples of 10 (Lesson 54), Multiplying by Three-Digit Numbers (55), Multiplying by Three-Digit Numbers that Include Zero (56), and Writing Quotients with Mixed Numbers (57). We will have a test on lessons 51, 54, 55, and 56.
6th Grade Math: This week we will be learning about Subtracting Mixed Numbers with Regrouping (Lesson 48), Dividing by a Decimal Number (49), Decimal Number Line (Tenths) and Dividing by a Fraction (50), and Mentally Dividing Decimal Numbers by 10 and 100 (52). We will have a test on lessons 46, 48, 49, and 50.
7th Grade Math: This week we will learn about Dividing by a Decimal Number (Lesson 45), Powers of 10 (Lesson 47), and Fraction-Decimal-Percent Equivalents (Lesson 48). We will be having a quiz on Lessons 45, 47, and 48.
8th Grade Math: This week we will be learning about Factoring Second-Degree Polynomials, and Factoring Difference of Two Squares. We will be having a quiz on these two lessons.
5th/6th Grade Nature Studies – Mixtures and Solutions: This week we will be learning about the earth system, kelp forest food web, and recycling. We will have an Investigation 1 I-Check.
7th/8th Grade Nature Studies – Earth History: This week we will be learning about mixing substances and the periodic table of elements.
