Scroll for this week’s assignments!
Greetings! My name is Elizabeth Block.
A little bit about me… I am from Portland, Maine, and I graduated from Penn State with a B.S. in Geosciences in May. I am so blessed to have this opportunity to teach your child math, science, and religion in a way that encourages curiosity, discovery, and a deeper understanding and appreciation of God’s beautiful and intricate creation. I am very excited to roll up my sleeves and get to work on providing the best learning experience possible for your child.
I will be implementing St. Thomas the Apostle School’s COVID reopening plan and will ensure that my class has the safest while most productive environment possible. We are all in this together.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or special needs. I welcome any suggestions and would be more than happy to discuss how your child learns best.
Our upper school policy on late grades and absent work:
When students are absent, they are to get work from their teachers during recess or homeroom (before dismissal). If the assignment is not turned in within 7 days, it is considered late.
When assignments are late, students will lose 5% for each day it is late up to one school week (5 days), after which the assignment is a zero.
Students can ask for assignments ahead of time if the absence is planned, but only up to 3 days in advance as lesson plans must often be adjusted and re-paced.
