Our Mission

St. Thomas seeks to forge a diverse community of scholars, leaders and saints… We challenge students to grow intellectually, forming confident youth leaders grounded in virtue. We guide children to become friends of Jesus… and join our community’s rich tradition of proclaiming the Kingdom and bettering our world.

Welcome to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School!

Since 1868 St. Thomas Parish and School has brought children and youth closer to Christ and forming them spiritually, academically, and socially to be leaders among their peers.

Our school motto is Nascantur in Admiratione, ‘Let them be born in wonder.’  As a classical school, St. Thomas leads our students in each subject to an encounter with the good, the true and the beautiful.  Instruction is designed to develop a child’s natural sense of wonder in the created world and to seek the God Who reveals Himself in it.  This classical approach to Catholic education trains the memory, reason, imagination and will of each child to know, understand, create and choose the good, the true and the beautiful for themselves.  St. Thomas students are being prepared ultimately for eternal life in Heaven and a temporal life of wisdom, virtue and eloquence.

This work begins and continues through a gifted and caring faculty and staff who share their passion for learning and the Catholic Faith with their students and, in turn, encourages students to become what God has created them to be—fully human and an instrument of His love and wisdom in the world.
