Endowment for Educators

The St. Thomas the Apostle School Endowment for Educators is designed to attract, form, train, and retain excellent educators at our school. This newly established fund is invested through the Catholic Foundation and was created thanks to an incredible gift of $500,000. We are so blessed to be the beneficiaries of this generosity. Please consider contributing to this endowment so our excellent teachers can receive the support they deserve. Donors can contribute by making a check payable to The Catholic Foundation with a memo line or separate note designating the gift to the St. Thomas the Apostle School Endowment for Educators.

Please mail checks to The Catholic Foundation, 101 S. Washington Square, Suite 620, Lansing, MI 48933. There is not an online donation option at this time.

St. Thomas School Scholarship Fund

St. Thomas is committed to making Catholic education affordable through our generous financial aid program. This year we provided more than $60,000 in scholarships to families who needed this support to give their children a Catholic education. As St. Thomas School grows, this need for scholarship funding also grows. The St. Thomas School Scholarship Fund, established in 1980 and invested through Ave Maria Mutual Funds, is a huge part of the reason that these scholarships are possible.

Please help us grow this fund by writing a check to St. Thomas School or St. Thomas Church with a memo line or separate note designating the gift to the School Scholarship Fund.

Father Thomas R. Carey Scholarship Fund

Fr. Thomas R. Carey, pastor of St. Thomas the Apostle Church from 1928-1940 always exhibited care for the students of the parish. The memory of his love and concern for his students prompted former students to establish this fund to provide financial, spiritual, and moral assistance for children of parishioners and allow them to attend St. Thomas School. This fund has supported scholarships for over 35 years, 678 students from 357 families, for over $240,000. Funds are invested through Pollock Investment Advisors, with offices in Ann Arbor.

Contributions are accepted at any time via check made out to St. Thomas School or St. Thomas Church. Please use a memo line or separate note designating the gift to the Fr. Carey Scholarship Fund. You may also donate online HERE and in the drop-down menu, choose “Fr. Carey School Scholarship”.
