Mrs. Veva Lashaway: Spanish Teacher

My name is Veva Lashaway. I am a native Spanish speaker from Chihuahua, Mexico and have been living in Michigan for 22 years. I graduated from Instituto Tecnologico de Chihuahua and earned a Masters degree in Modern Languages from Akron University. I have been teaching at St. Thomas for 6 years. I am an active parishioner of St. John Neumann in Canton, MI helping with the youth group through mission trips and Confirmation preparation. I have been blessed to be able to share my faith on a daily basis with my family and my students. I have twins attending Father Gabriel Richard HS. I love teaching my students the Spanish language and exposing them to the Mexican Culture through its history and culinary heritage.
