Divine Mercy Sunday: April 12
In addition to the regular Sunday Masses at our parish, there will be a Regional Diving Mercy Celebration at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Ann Arbor. The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for Adoration and Confession will be available. The event will begin at 2:30 p.m. with the Divine Mercy Chaplet and conclude at 4:15 p.m. with Benediction. Relics of St. Francis, St. Carlo Acutis, and St. Therese of Lisieux will be on display.
Divine Mercy Sunday is enriched by a plenary indulgence that is granted (under the usual conditions of a sacramental Confession, Holy Communion, and a prayer for the intentions of the pope) to all the faithful who, on Divine Mercy Sunday, in a spirit that is completely detached from the affection for sin, even venial sin, recite the Our Father and the Creed and also add a devout prayer (e.g., Jesus, I trust I you!).
The Divine Mercy Novena begins on Good Friday and runs through Saturday, April 11. Find the prayers and learn more about all the extraordinary graces of this great feast at thedivinemercy.org.
Did you know that we pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy every Friday at 3:00 p.m. during Eucharistic Adoration? All are welcome to join us in prayer.
