2026/2027 Confirmation Prep

At Confirmation, the baptized become more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. They, as witnesses of Christ, are more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed. To be Confirmed means to make a “covenant” in an exchange of persons with God. In this covenant, we are given the fullness of the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit and their Fruits.

Throughout the season of sacramental prep, Confirmands will have the opportunity to complete spiritual and corporal works of mercy with their peers in collaboration with parish staff, Catholic charities, and other organizations. Students will also study the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the Bible, and the Church’s theological and liturgical patrimony with a special focus on what the Holy Spirit will do for them in this sacrament. Confirmands will also participate in a one-day retreat including Mass, Reconciliation, prayer, and other spiritually edifying and fellowship-building activities.
