Pueri Cordis Jesu translates to “Children of the Heart of Jesus.” It is through our relationship with Jesus that we are able to pray while singing sacred music. The children in this schola will take part in the beauty of the Sacred Heart of Jesus through their formation in Gregorian chant and other sacred music.

Schola Pueri Cordis Jesu is a liturgical music formation choir for youth ages 8-18. While learning to sing sacred music in Latin, including Gregorian chant, traditional hymns, and simple polyphony, singers will receive formation in the roles of music ministers in traditional Catholic liturgy.

  • Latin pronunciation for singing
  • Reading Gregorian chant notation
  • Latin propers and traditional sacred chants
  • Latin Mass ordinaries
  • Sung responses of the Extraordinary Form Mass
