Therese Benz: Tenth and Eleventh Grade Homeroom

I was very blessed to grow up in Ann Arbor as the second oldest of eight children. I attended the University of Notre Dame in Indiana for undergrad, where I was an English major, a Pre-Med supplementary major, and a Theology minor. Afterwards, I continued my studies at Notre Dame in the McGrath Institute’s two-year Echo program, through which I both earned my M.A. in Theology and served as a full-time Middle School Religion Teacher. I then taught High School Theology at Father Gabriel Richard in Ann Arbor for three years, before joining the faculty of St. Thomas as the Upper School Literature and Theology teacher in the Fall of 2024. Teaching is one of the greatest surprises and greatest joys of my life, and it has been a privilege to get to work at this wonderful school. God Bless!
