Mission Statement

The Parent Association (PA) serves to facilitate the sense of community between the school administration and the school families. This is achieved through enhancing the school curriculum with “learning enrichment programs” and providing social settings for the families and faculty to feel appreciated and a part of the school family. All staff and adult family members of students enrolled at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School are members of the PA and are welcome at general meetings and events.

PA Volunteer Opportunities

We value the hours that so many families contribute to our school. Social activities, field trips, fundraising and a safe environment in the cafeteria could not happen without family assistance.

St. Thomas school asks that each family participate in volunteerism. Volunteering can take many forms…chaperoning field trips, projects at home like organizing special classroom projects or helping teachers with paperwork, lunchroom duty, assisting the teacher in the classroom, assisting at events, and on and on! Keep in mind that volunteers can be other family members too: a grandparent, college-aged sibling, au pair, etc.

The school staff uses www.SignUpGenius.com to invite and organize volunteers and to track volunteer hours. It’s free and it’s easy to use. If you’ve never used Sign Up Genius before click here to register.

If you need help or have questions about your volunteer hours contact us at piatanvelasquez@gmail.com
