Mr. Michael Sauter: Headmaster
Michael received his Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities and Catholic Culture at Franciscan University. He earned a Master’s Degree in Education and Teaching Certification in History and Social Studies at the University of Michigan. He then taught 4th grade for 3 years and middle-school History and English for 10 years. Over the course of those 13 years of teaching at Spiritus Sanctus Academy, he incorporated a vision of Catholic education that he had received from his undergraduate work at Franciscan. He has a passion for serving young people and showing how the truths that they pursue in study are formative of a way of life. He and his wife Emma have 5 children, 4 of whom are students at the school.
